Description

94 and 96 Manor Road is a building that was originally a public house. It dates back to 1774, although the datestone has been removed. The structure is two storeys high and constructed of red brick, topped with a tiled roof that features one dormer. There are four sash windows on the front. In the 19th century, the ground floor underwent alterations, with the doors and windows being set in marbled cement surrounds and the tile glazing bars being removed. The main doorcase has a marbled cement surround that includes a pediment, console brackets, and pilasters, along with a five-fielded panelled door. The doorcase on the right side has a plain pediment-shaped surround. The building has a plinth and is part of a group with Nos 90 to 98 (even).
