Description
The dovecot, located about 100 metres northwest of Knowlton Court, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with some blue headers and features a plain tiled roof. The structure has an octagonal plan, with a plinth and a plat band, as well as an unmoulded wooden eaves cornice. The roof is adorned with small leaded dormers and a wooden and leaded cupola. There is a boarded door in a semi-circular rebated surround on the east side, wooden casements on the north and west sides, and it is buttressed to the southwest. The interior reportedly retains pigeon shelves and boxing.
