Description
These are fifteenth-century timber-framed houses located at 20 and 22 St Peter's Street. The houses have been altered over time; the ground floor of number 20 has been underbuilt, and the first floor of number 22 remains jettied. The roofs are of different forms: number 20 has a hipped roof, while number 22 has a gable. The first floors have casement windows, but the ground floors have metal sash windows. The sash windows of number 20 retain their original glazing bars, whereas number 22 has modern metal windows. The frontages of numbers 2 to 30 (even) and number 30A form a group.
