Description
This building consists of a barn and cowhouses located about 50 metres southeast of Goss Hall. It dates from the 17th century, with some parts rebuilt in the early 19th century. The structure is made of red brick laid in header bond, with sections rebuilt using yellow brick, and features plain tiled roofs.
The barn or granary is two storeys high and has a half-hipped roof with a dogtooth eaves cornice. There is one wooden casement window on each floor, and large cart doors are positioned in the centre. Attached to this is a single-storey brick range that opens to an interior courtyard. The rear wall, which faces the road, has ten buttresses and a boarded door at the right end.
