Description

This is an early 19th century building on the High Street. It is a three-storey building constructed of Venetian red brick, originally with two windows. The building features a modillion eaves cornice. The shop front dates from the early 19th century and incorporates a moulded cornice and dentils, along with three pilasters topped with decorative caps and a bowed window with glazing bars. The entrance door is of two bead-flush panels, glazed above with intact bars. It has a lion head knocker and a fanlight above featuring an oval central panel and quadrant-shaped side lights, all of which are intact. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 11 to 19 (odd) and numbers 2 to 12 (even) on Upper Strand Street.
