Description
21 and 23 West Hill are 18th-century buildings consisting of two parallel ranges. They are three storeys high, constructed of stock brick with red brick dressings, and feature a hipped tiled roof. The buildings have a parapet with stone coping and a dropped eaves cornice. There are five sash windows without glazing bars, and the ground floors have later shopfronts with red brick pilasters. The side elevation has a rounded corner and includes a later Victorian five-light bay window. Nos 21 to 35 (odd) form a group, with Nos 31 to 35 (odd) being of local interest.
