Description

Kent House, also known as The County Court, is a mid-19th century building located on Spital Street. It is constructed of stock brick and has two storeys topped with a hipped slate roof. The first floor features four cambered double sash windows, while the ground floor has four round-headed sash windows, each adorned with keystones. A modillion cornice and a stringcourse add decorative elements to the façade. Above the round-headed doorcase, there is a royal cartouche. Kent House, along with Nos 39 to 43 (odd) and the Methodist Church, forms a group of buildings of local interest.
