Description
The Royal Oak Public House is a timber-framed building, likely from the 17th century, but it was refaced in the 19th century. It has two storeys and attics. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the first floor features applied timber-framing with pebbledashed infill. The roof is tiled and includes three dormers. There are three sash windows with verticals only. The ground floor features a 19th-century pub front. To the right, there is a 19th-century section that is two storeys high and matches the style, with one sash window and a hipped tiled roof. Inside, the building has exposed beams. The Royal Oak is part of a group that includes Nos 53 to 57.
