Description

These are two mid-19th century buildings on Spital Street. They are constructed of stock brick with a hipped, pantiled roof. The front elevation features three sashes with intact glazing bars, set within Italianate architraves. Pilasters rise through all three storeys of the buildings. A doorcase is present, featuring a cornice and pilasters. A curved bow window was later inserted into the front elevation. Numbers 53 to 57, which are the odd-numbered properties, form a group.
