Description

16 and 17 The Friars are a building with a 16th-century timber-frame core, and a 18th-century exterior. The return side of the building faces All Saints Lane. The exterior is rough cast, and the roof is tiled with a central brick stack. One gable is tile-hung, with the roof slope extending to the ground floor. There are two sash windows with original glazing bars, set within moulded architraves. The building features an 18th-century open pedimented doorcase, with pilasters and a six-panelled door. The building is part of a group with numbers 11 to 18, and also forms a group with a barn on the north-west side of All Saints Lane.
