Description

The Friars Cottage is a building that appears to date from the 18th century but is likely older. It has two storeys and is constructed of red brick with a hipped roof covered in old tiles. The side facing the river features tile-hanging on the first floor and a stone ground floor. There are two sash windows with intact glazing bars and a simple doorcase with a four-panelled door. To the left, there is a later one-storey extension with modern casement windows and a hipped tiled roof. The Friars Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 11 to 18, which are consecutive.
