Description

The Former Mitre Inn, located at No 12 The Friars, is a late 18th-century building. It is constructed of red brick and has two storeys. The building features a parapet with stone coping and a mansard roof that includes three dormer windows. On the ground floor, there are three sashes with intact glazing bars, arranged as three-light windows. The central entrance has a round-headed recessed doorcase with a later door, and the keystone above the door is adorned with a moulded female bust. No 13 is part of this building, and Nos 11 to 18 form a group with it.
