Description

The Invicta engine, designed and constructed by George Stephenson, is set on a cement plinth. This engine was entered as No 12, with the Rocket being No 11. On May 3rd, 1830, it drew the first train on the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway. The engine is positioned on standard gauge lines.
