Description

Margaret's House is an early 19th-century front applied to a 17th-century building situated on Castle Street. The property is three storeys high with a basement and is constructed of stucco. It features a cornice with two projecting panels and three fluted pilasters. The windows are sash windows retaining their original glazing bars. The ground floor windows are set within blind arcading, and the front has a rusticated base and plinth. A round-headed doorcase flanked by plain pilasters provides access to a six-panelled door, preceded by four steps. The property forms a group with numbers 1 to 9 and 12 to 24 on Castle Street.
