Description

The gas lantern and column at the corner of Fox's Cross Road, located on the south side, date from the mid-19th century. It features a cast iron fluted column topped with a square lantern that has four curved ogee braces. The lantern has a smaller base than its top and a sloping roof adorned with anthemion foliage at each of the four corners. It also includes two bell vents and a finial on top. This lantern is gas lit.
