Description

The gas lantern and column located west of the North and South Tythe Barn dates from the mid-19th century. It features a cast iron circular base adorned with decorative elements, and a small fluted section at the top. The lantern is supported by four curved ogee braces and has a smaller base than its top. Its sloping roof ends in anthemion foliage at each of the four corners, and it includes two bell vents and a finial. The lantern is gas lit.
