Description

This is a 15th-century timber-framed farmhouse, originally with a central section and two slightly projecting wings. The wings have been rebuilt in red brick at ground floor level. The first floor of the entire building is now clad with curved tiles. Exposed timbering featuring upright studs remains visible on the ground floor of the central section, with the first floor jettied over the protruding ends of the floor joists, now additionally supported by two curved braces. Curved braces are also visible on the first floor of the south wall. The roof is tiled. Modern casement windows have been installed. A red brick wing was added to the rear in the 17th century, extending the building into an L-shape.
