Description

Tanthorn Cottage is an 18th-century red-brick house located on The Green in Charttham. It is two storeys and has attics, with a tiled roof and an eaves cornice. Most of the original sash windows remain, featuring intact glazing bars, although one window space is absent. A doorcase with a moulded architrave surround and a flat hood protects the 6-panelled door. Above the doorway is an iron panel inscribed "Lord with me abide." A ground floor section at the north-west end has a single casement window with wooden shutters.
