Description
Burnt House Farmhouse and the Oast House is a 17th-century farmhouse located on Ashford Road in Chartham. The building has two storeys and attics in the gable end, constructed of red brick with a tiled roof. It features sashes with intact glazing bars, with one window facing west and two windows facing south. Brick dripstones are present over the windows on the west front. The Oast House, which forms an L-block to the southeast, dates from the 18th century. It is also two storeys high, made of red brick with some grey headers, and has a tiled roof. The Oast House includes six windows, some of which are sashes without glazing bars and others are casements. The entrance features a doorcase with pilasters, a projecting cornice, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panelled door.
