Description

Rolvenden Windmill is a probable late 17th century or early 18th century mill, built on the site of an earlier mill from 1596. It stopped operating in 1883. The windmill is of the post type and is covered with tarred weatherboarding. It features a modern octagonal roundhouse, also faced with tarred weatherboarding, although part of it is now missing. The windmill has four restored sweeps and retains its tailpole.
