  1. This house took its name from the stocks which once stood nearby. The building was originally the mill-house of the Stocks Windmill adjoining, but later became the Parish Poorhouse and subsequently 2 cottages. It is now again one residence. L-shaped C16 or earlier timber framed building with plaster infilling, the 1st floor of the north wing oversailing on the protruding ends of the floor joists and brackets, with 2 small tile hung gables over. Steeply pitched tiled roof hipped at one end and half-hipped at the other. Four casement windows with small square leaded panes. Side elevation tile hung. Modern addition to the west.
