Description

The Stocks Windmill is a 18th century post mill located on Stocks Road in Wittersham. Inside the mill, the centre post is dated 1781 and features the initials R V carved into it. The roundhouse is constructed of tarred brick and has a sloping wooden roof that is covered with metal sheets, with weatherboarding above. Currently, only two sweeps remain, and the fantail is missing. There is a small wooden balcony on the southeast side of the top floor. The interior of the mill is in good condition.
