Description

This is a 16th-17th century timber-framed and plastered house, originally part of Stocks Farm. It is a one-story building with attics. The windows are lattice leaded casements. The roof is thatched, with half-hipped ends to the north and south and two dormers on the west front, featuring a central square chimney stack. An adjacent 3-bay timber-framed and plastered barn, originally located to the north-west of the house and now converted into a large room, is connected to the house by a modern wing. Some of the original timber framing is exposed both inside the house and in the former barn. The interior of the house features exposed ceiling beams and joists, and both the house and barn retain exposed timber framing. The building was renovated in the 20th century.
