April Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is faced with blue headers and has red brick window surrounds, quoins, and a plat band. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features two storeys with a plat band and a gabled roof that has end stacks. The building has a regular arrangement of windows, with three wooden casements on the first floor and two on the ground floor, both with gauged heads. Additionally, there is a segment-headed window inserted to the left on the ground floor, along with two 20th-century windows in a cat-slide outshot to the left. The entrance features a central 20th-century plank door set within a gabled porch.
