Description

Waylands is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of grey bricks in header bond, with red brick dressings and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a plinth with a flush plat band and quoins. It features a moulded eaves cornice beneath a hipped roof, which has two hipped dormers and chimney stacks at the centre and left end. The windows are arranged regularly, with three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all topped with segmental heads. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels, framed by an eared surround and a pulvinated frieze beneath a pediment.
