Description
Tudor Cottage, originally two cottages occupied by Hanford and Streatfield, dates from the 16th century. This house features a timber frame, with part of the structure underbuilt in painted brick and a plastered first floor, while other sections are exposed and close-studded with plaster infill. The cottage has a thatched roof and consists of five framed bays across two storeys. A continuous jetty extends to the right, supported by dragon posts, and returns on the right front. The hipped roof has central stacks. On the first floor, there are four wooden casements and one oriel window to the right, which sits on a moulded projecting cill. The ground floor includes three wooden casements and one oriel window with eight mullioned lights to the right, along with a central boarded door that has a four-centred arched surround.
