Description
This is an outhouse located about 25 metres south of Swanton Mill. It is a 19th-century rebuild or alteration of a 17th-century or earlier building. The structure is timber framed and clad with ragstone, brick, and tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. It is a single storey with a hipped roof, featuring a weather vane shaped like a large model boat. The interior has been altered and shows a crude frame with three posts that create a very narrow single aisle, representing a basic form of base cruck. The roof has clasped purlins. This building is included for its group value.
