Description
Little Stonegreen is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later cladding and extensions from the 18th century. It is timber framed, rendered, and has been extended with painted brick. The building has a plain tiled roof and is L-shaped in design. There is a lobby entry to the main block, and it stands two storeys high on a plinth beneath a half-hipped roof. To the right, there is a projecting wing that is jettied and partly underbuilt, featuring a tile-hung gable. An outshot is present at the left end of the building. There are stacks located at the left end, in the centre, and at the right (rear of the end wing).
On the first floor, there are two wooden casements, and on the ground floor, there are two more with segmental heads, along with a garret light in the crosswing and a sash window on the ground floor. Glazing bar sashes are found to the left in the outshot and on the re-entrant elevation of the cross-wing. The central door consists of six panels and is topped with a pedimented hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
