Description

Brissenden Farmhouse is a hall-house dating from the 15th to 16th century, with an addition to the right side made in the 18th century. The building has two storeys, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and the first floor featuring timber framing and plastering, showcasing a visible curved brace. It has a steeply pitched tiled roof with a central brick chimney stack, while the right side of the roof is half-hipped and tile-hung. The exterior includes some modern casement windows and one continuous mullioned window, as well as a simple Dutch barn door. Inside, there is an octagonal crown post with a moulded cap.
