The Dandy is a 16th-century timber-framed house, situated on Preston Lane. The house originally had plaster infilling between the timber framing, but the ground floor has been refaced with red brick and the upper part with tiles. The first floor overhangs to the north, supported by protruding floor joists and curved brackets. The house is two storeys high and has four casement windows.
