Description

Ingleden is a house with a core dating back to the 16th century, but which was enlarged and substantially refaced during the 19th century. The exterior is of red brick, laid in an irregular pattern. The front elevation features a crenellated parapet and five sash windows with plain vertical divisions. The right side has a castellated parapet, while the left side displays four gables adorned with fretted bargeboards. The ground floor features two large, six-light mullioned and transomed windows. The rear elevation is covered in tiles and has three hipped gables; the central one is half-hipped, and the right-hand gable has a scalloped bargeboard. Inside, the house retains exposed beamed interiors. Ingleden, together with the other listed buildings within its grounds, forms a notable group.
