Robinia Cottage, along with Purfields on Ox Lane in St Michaels, is an 18th-century timber-framed building. It has an L-shaped design and stands two storeys tall with attics. The exterior is weatherboarded, although part of the ground floor features exposed timber-framing with brick infill. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, topped with a central brick chimney stack. The building has three casement windows and a hipped tiled porch. Robinia Cottage and Purfields form a group with The Fat Ox Public House.
