Description

Swallow Mill, formerly known as Swallow Mill Farmhouse, is an 18th-century watermill located on Pluckley Road in Little Chart. The building stands three storeys high and is faced with white weatherboarding, resting on a base of red brick. It features a tiled roof with an eaves cornice. The west front has a mix of casement windows, horizontally-sliding sash windows, and swivel windows, all retaining their glazing bars. The east front includes horizontally-sliding sash windows and ordinary double-hung sash windows, also with intact glazing bars. An enormous water-wheel is situated in the southern half of the structure.
