Description

The ruins of the Church of St Mary are located on Pluckley Road in Little Chart. The remaining parts of this building include the tower, built by Sir John Darell around 1500, and part of the contemporary chancel. The tower is constructed of ragstone and features two stages, with a double cinquefoil window. The church originally consisted of a chancel with a north chapel, a nave with a north aisle, and a west tower, which was destroyed by a flying bomb during the Second World War.
