Description
The Mill House, formerly known as Westwell Mill and Westwell Mill House, is a building now entirely used as a dwelling. The western half of the structure was originally a water mill, dating from the 16th century or earlier. This part features a timber frame, with the ground floor faced in red brick and the upper floor clad in weatherboarding, which overhangs on brackets. A waterwheel is located at the west end. The former mill house, which slightly projects from the main structure, is an 18th-century extension. The entire building is two storeys high with attics, constructed of red brick, and has a half-hipped tiled roof that spans the whole structure, with attics in the gable ends. There are four casement windows.
