Description
The George Hotel is a timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century. Some exposed timbering can be seen on the rear elevation. The building has two storeys, with the ground floor finished in painted brick and the first floor in stucco. It features a tiled roof with a coved eaves cornice. There are two three-light bays on both floors, with the glazing bars intact except for the ground floor of the east bay, which has been converted into a door leading to the Bar. The entrance has a wide doorcase with pilasters and a pediment, and it includes a modern door.
