Description

St Mary's College features the South Africa Gateway and adjoining buildings facing Kingsgate Street, constructed between 1902 and 1904 by Frank Pearson. The buildings are made of flint and stone and showcase a Gothic doorway, polygonal turrets, and an oriel window. The armoury, designed by John Little, is also part of this group. Other contemporary buildings in the area share a similar style, characterized by flint construction and tiled roofs. All the listed buildings on College Street are recognized as a cohesive group.
