Description

Warren Farm House is a farmhouse, likely dating to the 18th century, with additions from the 19th century. Inscribed tablets indicate Ralph Pelham Esquire and the date 1775. The house is constructed of brick with Portland stone dressings, has a plain-tiled roof and is arranged in a T-shape, with the 1775 front forming the top of the "T" and an earlier 18th-century building providing the stem.

The front elevation, facing four bays, presents two storeys with a cellar. A Portland stone plinth runs along the base. The main entrance, located in the second bay from the right, is a four-panel door with raised and fielded panels and a three-light semi-circular fanlight above. Portland stone pilasters flank the door, supporting a moulded, semi-circular arch, which is further accentuated by a moulded segmental hood supported on corbels. A string course runs above the door. Above the door is a two-light casement with a rubbed brick arch. The other ground floor bays contain three-light casements, also with rubbed brick arches. The first floor features matching three-light casements with rubbed brick arches and Portland stone sills. A moulded cornice sits above the first floor. 19th-century stacks, including an ornate double-flue stack at the left end with an overhanging gable, are located at either end of the building.
