Description

The conservatory, located 20 meters to the southwest of Northington Grange, was built between 1823 and 1825 by architect C. R. Cockerell. It was later converted into a picture gallery in 1880. The structure is made of brick, covered in stucco with stone dressings, and features a slated roof. It has nine bay sides adorned with giant pilasters and five bay ends that include an Eastern Ionic portico, which consists of four columns wide and two columns deep. The conservatory was also restored by the Department of the Environment between 1980 and 1982 and is currently under its guardianship.
