Description

This is a pair of cottages located in East Stratton, dating from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier building. They are constructed of brick with a pebble-dash finish and feature thatched roofs. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and have a symmetrical four-window arrangement. Each cottage has a central 19th-century door with a timber porch, flanked by 19th-century two-light casement windows. Above each window is an eyebrow dormer, also with a two-light casement. The roof is hipped, with a lower ridge on the right side, indicating that one part of the roof is older. A large central brick stack with multiple flues is present.
