Description
No. 35 is a pair of cottages that have been converted into a house, dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill on a brick ground floor, along with brick additions. The original 17th-century cottage has a thatched roof and consists of three bays, with a 19th-century brick bay added to each end. The building is 1½ storeys high and has five bays in total. At the left end of the 17th-century section, there is an early 19th-century flush panelled door set in a moulded frame. The windows are 19th and 20th-century casements, featuring two and three lights with glazing bars. The timber frame extends from the floor plate to the eaves and includes three eyebrow dormers, which have small two and three-light casements built on the wall plate. The roof is hipped and has a small brick chimney stack above the door, with another chimney located between the right and centre bays of the 17th-century building.
