Description
Middle or Parkhill Lodge is a lodge built around 1850. It is constructed of brick with Portland stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is oriented towards the A33 road and is two stories high with three bays. The central bay features a projecting porch, while there is a single-storey battlemented lean-to on one side. The road-facing side has a large battlemented canted bay on the ground floor, which contains four casement windows. To the right, there is a single casement window with a hood moulding, and above the bay, there is a two-light casement window. The roof rafters extend beyond the walls and are adorned with carved bargeboards and a finial. On the left side of the building, there is a treble diamond moulded brick stack and a small single casement window with a hood moulding at the end of the lean-to. On the right side, the porch jetties out on the first floor and features a timber, corbelled oriel window. All the windows are fitted with lozenge panes.
