Description
These are an early to mid-19th century pair of buildings on Chesil Street. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement. They present a symmetrical facade, with a rusticated stucco finish to the ground floor and brickwork above. A stone cornice and blocking course sit atop the brickwork. There are four windows across the front. The first-floor windows have moulded stucco surrounds with cornices. Two centrally located doors are grouped together, set within a Tuscan stucco surround and accessed by a flight of steps. The doors themselves are panelled, with rectangular lights above. Iron railings are present. The roof is not visible. These buildings are part of a group that includes numbers 1 and 3, numbers 4 to 12 (even), and St Peter’s Theatre.
