Description

Mitford is a cottage dating from the 17th century, featuring a three-bay timber frame with 18th-century extensions, early 19th-century cladding, and 20th-century additions. The upper walls display exposed framing with various brick infill, while other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish and Monk bonds, with some boarded walls at the rear. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the west end, along with eyebrow dormers and a tiled catslide at the rear. The southeast front has one storey and an attic, with two casement windows. There is a 20th-century brick porch that has a gabled tile roof and a boarded door.
