Description

This is a cross built in 1865, located on the site of an old church, 100 meters east-north-east of the lychgate in Northington. It is made of white and red granite and stands on a stone foundation. The foundation features a red granite plinth with chamfered corners, and the shaft of the cross has a lozenge section, topped with a stylised Celtic cross. The cross was erected in memory of the 2nd Lord Ashburton by his wife.
