Description
The carriage house and stables, located 350 meters north-northwest of The Grange, were built in the late 19th century. They are constructed of brick with Bath stone dressings and feature a slated roof. The buildings are arranged around a square courtyard, with a moulded entrance arch on the south side. Most of the structure is one tall storey, with central sections that rise to two storeys. The north side has a six-bay section above an arcaded ground floor on the inner face. On the south side, there is a two-storey section slightly off-center, featuring a tower with three stages, a parapet, a baroque dome, and a vent turret above. The inner face includes a staircase tower and arcading to the west. The windows are sash style, with heavy stone lintels and cills. The building is currently in a state of disrepair.
