Description

The Manor House is a manor house dating from 1699. It fell into ruin around 1900 and was restored in the 20th century. The house is constructed of chequer brickwork, with some areas pebbledashed, and has an old plain tile roof. It is two storeys and an attic, with a raised cellar, and comprises four bays across with two bays in depth, projecting to the rear.

The front of the house features a high plinth interrupted by a doorway set beneath a rubbed brick arch, situated centrally between the right-hand bays. A 20th-century glazed pent-roof porch stands in front of the doorway. A blocked window is visible on the right, and to the left are three cross windows, all under rubbed brick arches. A string course runs along the first floor. Above, three cross windows are present, alongside a three-light casement with a transom in the left-centre bay. All windows have brick sills. Wide coved eaves lead to a hipped roof that slopes down to the rear. A stack is located on the right end, a tablet on the left, and a large gabled dormer is present on each hip.
