Description

The Church of St Peter is a ruin dating from the 12th century, which became a ruin in the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble flint with brick dressings. The remains include three walls of the nave, with the complete west wall featuring an 18th-century three-light window with a three-centred head. There are round-headed doorways on the north and south sides, which are plain except for the imposts, sides, and sills of a north and south window. On the floor, there are several 18th-century inscribed slabs dedicated to the Chudleigh family, as well as an octagonal font made from corrugated iron.
