Description

Commerce House is a building that dates from the early 18th century and was originally two houses, now serving as offices. The structure features brick walls laid in Flemish bond with blue headers, cambered rubbed arches, and a cement plinth. It has a new roof covered with old tiles. The south-east elevation is regular, consisting of two storeys and four windows, with a carriage opening on the north side. The windows are sash style in exposed frames. There are two identical doorways, each with a 20th-century hood supported by old carved brackets, and the doors are six-panelled, with two of the panels being glazed at the top.
