Description
The walled garden located 15 meters west of Townsend Farm House is an early 19th-century structure featuring two gazebos. It has cob walls topped with thatched coping, with one gazebo covered in tiles and the other thatched. The garden measures approximately 75 meters in length and 40 meters in width. The end wall facing the road has been rebuilt in concrete block to a height of 1.5 meters, while the other walls stand at 3 meters high. A central path runs through the garden, lined with espalier fruit trees, leading to an octagonal gazebo that has glazed double doors and a hipped tiled roof with a finial. In the corner at the road end, there is a thatched gazebo with a glazed side facing the garden, complemented by a trellis in front. The garden is well kept.
